A friend of mine had gotten married during the summer and lived in Fort Worth, Texas, and she invited me to spend New Year’s with her. Kela and I had talked about a possible meetup in the past, but it hadn’t worked out. On December 30th, I posted a photo to Facebook on a Sports Bar with my location, and Kela contacted me, saying they were around, and that we should meet up. And we did! The very next day Kela & Russell picked me up at the hotel and we went to get some drinks at a local Chili’s, where we talked and joked. It was amazing to meet in real life with a friend from Unique!
